Executive Director And Head of School
Scott Noel
The Head of our school is Scott Noel. Mr. Noel was born with an extremely rare genetic defect called Aniridia. Aniridia is a chromosome deletion that left Mr. Noel legally blind and with a myriad of health problems. Despite his disabilities, Mr. Noel found how to overcome the obstacles posed to him in the regular school classroom. He rose to achieve 4 college degrees from Rice University including advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business despite the fact that he could not read a single word on the college blackboards or overhead projectors.
He then went on to help found several successful hi-tech startup companies and to perform as a technology consultant to large Fortune 500 companies. Through his experience he has developed a philosophy that disabilities aren’t what hold children back from reaching their potential, but rather it is how they deal with the disability that shapes what they will become. The key to helping children realize this philosophy starts with a strong network of educators and family members who can help to steer the children in the right direction.
