Admissions Q&A
Q. Will there be any openings in the grade to which my child is applying?
A. At this point we have several new openings in all grades from Pre-K to 4th grade.
Q. At what age level do you begin?
A. We recommend that a child be four years old by September 1 of the year he/she would begin pre-kindergarten at Galileo. Our pre-kindergarten is a full day program from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We will make exceptions however on a case by case basis.
Q. Does Galileo have a religious affiliation?
A. Yes. Galileo follows Christian principles. Although our school’s focus is on children with special needs we will integrate Christian teaching in our curriculum. We follow a non-denominational bible church approach. However we accept students of any race, color, religious, national and ethnic origin, and offer all the rights and privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
Q. Do Galileo students wear uniforms?
A. No. There is a dress code to which all students must adhere while on campus and attending school-sponsored activities.
Q. What is the student/teacher ratio?
A. The student/teacher ratio is 8:1.
Q. Does Galileo provide transportation?
A. No. Many families form carpools. The Parents’ Association and Office Coordinators help put together carpool groups at the beginning of each school year.
Q. Do you have an admissions application deadline?
A. No we accept students year round. We offer rolling admissions on an as needed basis.
